Historically, curved or semi-curved lasts have been used to build "cushioned" running shoes.
Shouldn't they all be cushioned? Straight lasts are used to build "stability" running shoes that I think are something like "motion control" running shoes, which are built on both lasts. Pretty confusing isn't it? Not if you're into marketing.

At Vitruvian Running we've tossed conventional "wisdom" and gone back to the beginning and simplified it.
Put a cushioned midsole between the foot and the running surface and secure it to the foot with an upper made to fit snugly and not interfere with movement or mechanics involved.

We believe very strongly in our approach to running shoe design and engineering.
We also realize that not all feet are the same shape. That's why we've taken the same performance driven running shoe and made it in two different shapes, the Proportion and the Symmetry.
